Homemade gummy bears are so easy to make. These three-ingredient gummies are a healthy alternative to store-bought bears. A tasty snack for kids and adults that only takes 30 minutes to make.
When it comes to cooking, one of my passions is switching out unhealthy recipes for healthy ones. Eating a whole-food diet does not have to be bland and boring. It shouldn’t make you feel like you are depriving yourself of treats.
This recipe takes just 3 ingredients. Unflavored gelatin, honey, and fresh or frozen fruit. Thats it! You’ll need a silicone mold. I got this mold from Walmart. The bears are a bit big so I also have this mold, also from Walmart. It makes the perfect size bears. You’ll also need a blender for the fruit. You want a super smooth puree.
Step 1
Place your fruit and the honey in your blender. Blend until completely smooth.
Step 2
Pour puree mixture into a saucepan over medium heat. Add in your unflavored gelatin. Stir continuously until the gelatin has completely dissolved and the mixture begins to boil. Once it is boiling, remove from heat. If you are using strawberries they may foam up during the boiling process. Simply take a metal spoon and skim the foam off.
Step 3
Fill the gummy bear molds. I use a syringe. Some molds come with an eye dropper.
Step 4
Place the molds in the refridgerator for about 20-30 minutes until completely solidified. When finished setting, pop them out of the mold and enjoy.
How do I store my gummies?
I store mine in a mason jar with a lid in the refrigerator. You can use any airtight container.
My Gummys Look CLoudy
This can happen with some fruits like strawberries. When cooking the fruit will sometimes foam up. Just take a metal spoon and skim it off the top.
How long are homemade gummies good for
